Welcome

Welcome to The Bronze Age Collection at The University Museum of Bergen. Here you will find  information and pictures of around 250-300 bronze objects dating to the Bronze Age in Norway, 1800 –  500 BC.

The museum has a limited collection of bronzes from the Bronze Age, just under 300 objects.

The first came in before the museum was formally founded: two arm rings (B3426) came in from Nordhordland as early as 1824 and were documented and drawn by the museum’s founder, the first President of Parliament Willhelm Friman Koren Christie himself.
